2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 cup fresh Black King pansy petals
- Place petals and ½ cup of sugar into a food processor. Pulse until petals are blended into sugar uniformly.
- Combine the rest of the sugar, pansy mixture, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce to low, making sure all sugar is dissolved. Allow simmering until the mixture thickens.
- Remove it from heat and pour into a heat-proof container. Allow to cool and then store in the refrigerator.
